Great Awakening Baton Rouge

I attended The River since Mar.07. I already belonged to a small house fellowship in Port Richey which met for Bible Study on Weds eves. On several Saturday mornings starting in May I went soul winning to the nursing homes (mostly with Nancy Suarez) in the Tampa area. I worshipped at The River on Sundays, Holy Spirit weekends and Summer Campmeeting. The ministry was everything I had ever looked for. I never joined The River because I was anticipating a move to GA. I planned my move around Great Awakening Chattanooga so I could spend a final full week with the ministry of revival. Every detail of my move was of Divine order. The only missing part was where I would worship in Adairsville, GA. In July I searched out the ministry of Mirek Hufton in Roswell, GA. It was awesome but a 50 mile drive. On a limited income, I would have difficulty being able to fully participate. I felt the Lord would have another place but I didn’t know where. I liked my own pastor’s way of teaching the Bible (line upon line, precept upon precept). I liked soul winning at The River and Pastor Rodney and Adonica’s preaching with authority as was said of Jesus. I left New Port Richey on October 21 and traveled to Chattanooga. I joined the soul winners on the 23rd. (I want to say that David Larsen and Angelo and Paulina were fabulous leaders – I was blessed to be on their teams. Students Chloe, Stephanie and Jeradi blessed me also.) At Tuesday night’s meeting, Pastor Rodney called a woman up to testify. She was from Adairsville. The next night I asked her about her home church and she encouraged me to try it. Her pastor, Keith Reid, had been set on fire at this revival and had brought it home to the church. Thursday night Pastor Reid testified to Pastor Rodney how the Fire of God had touched him. Once again he was struck and layed on the stage that night for 3 1/2 hrs! On Saturday I left Abba’s House and headed for Adairsville. My husband and I are going to live with our daughter until The Lord moves us into our own home He has already shown us! Sunday morning I went to Pastor Reid’s church -East Calhoun Church of God. Pastor preached on the Soul Winning Script. He announced that teams would go out on Saturdays from 12:30 until 2:30 to win the lost! I was so excited. Wednesday night I attended his Bible study. He used the same teaching method that works best for me. Why I never skipped a beat from New Port Richey to Adairsville!!! Today, Saturday, Nov 3 I went soul winning to an apartment complex across from the church. I was the leader. I had a mother and daughter team with me. I couldn’t believe the ability given to me to take charge and teach the process. We spoke to 7 people. 5 were hispanic and they read the script as I could not pronounce the words. One young man’s eyes turned red with tears as he read the words. There were 2 more folks. One had just gotten out of prison and before I could even invite him to church, he asked if he could come. The Lord is good and His Mercy endures forever. I will miss meeting at The River. There is nothing like it. I can watch by internet, though and follow Jesus’ ministry here as well. I give Him all the Praise.
