Rodney Howard Browne : Healing

To be or not to be? That is the question that comes to a most peoples minds when it comes to miracles, signs and wonders. Well, I think its time we put to rest this silly little question. The bible says to study to show “thyself” approved! We must study the Word ourselves when we have questions and find out exactly what it says for ourselves and stop depending soley on the one standing in the pulpit to deliver the answers. I am not watering down and taking away from men and women of God and those called into the five fold ministry. But we must not always stay as children either. The Bible is written out for us, just as it is for them and we have the same holy ghost living in us as in them. Jesus told us in John 8:32 that if we continue in His word we will be His disciples indeed and we shall know the truth and the TRUTH shall make us FREE! Then again in John 17:17 He prays to the Father, “Sanctify them by thy truth, Thy WORD is truth!” Well, didn’t Jesus say that He was the Truth, He was the way, He was the Life? So if the WORD is Truth, and Jesus is the Word made manifest, and He said that the truth would make us free, then I am seeing a pattern here. Jesus said that the works that He did and Greater we shall do, because He goes to the Father. He said in Mark 16 “These signs shall follow those who believe: In my name they shall cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpants; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; THEY WILL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK AND THEY SHALLLLLLLLL RECOVER!!!!!

Healing and miracles are for today. Jesus would not have come and died for the sins of man, given us the power of the Holy Ghost and sent us into the world to preach the Gospel just to see it all die away with the death of the last apostle. The Bible tells us that “for this purpose, the Son of God was manifested , that He might destroy the Works of the Enemy.” Jesus came to destroy the power of the enemy, then He gave us the same power. If Jesus Christ, is the same Yesterday, Today and FOREVER. Then so is the power that he gave us over the enemy through the Holy Spirit to also destroy the works of the enemy. Works like sickness and disease, infirmity and death, etc etc. The Bible again tells us “For the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the laws of Sin and Death!” He desires above all things that we walk in heath and devine healing “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may be in health and prosper, even as your soul prospers.” The Word of God is true, infact in Psalm 138:2 it says that God holds His word above His own Name! Jesus dying on the cross was fulfillment of prophecy in Isaiah 53:5 where we see that by His stripes, we ARE healed. Isaiah is old testament but we see in 1 Peter 2:24 the fulfillment of Isaiah 53:5; Peter tells us that “By His stripes we WERE healed.” The Cross finished the work and ruined the plans of the enemy.

We must believe in the Word! In Jesus’ times miracles were for unbelievers, done in their sight. Because as soon as they saw them, there was no way they could question them. It’s the same for today. The gifts of Working of Miracles and Healing are alive and well today all over the World. The bible tells us these gifts are for all men, that all men may prosper in them all. I once heard Dr Rodney Howard Browne say, “When I line people up to pray for them, I am basically saying to God, GOD! You gave the church 9 gifts and I am putting myself in a position to flow in any of those gifts at any time as you will .” What an awesome statement! I have seen many awesome things since being a part of the Revival Ministries International. Dr Rodney Howard-Browne truly allows the free move of the Holy Spirit. The Lord uses Him in a mighty way in the area of miracles and healings. But what is even more amazing, is that as a result we have seen first hand the “GREATEST” miracle of them all. Hundreds of Thousands of people Born-Again!

I am so thankful for not limiting the Holy Ghost and submitting Himself to the Will of God. I will end with this, Proverbs 4:20-22 tells us :

“My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.

So See there, The WORD (Jesus) brings health (healing) to ALL Flesh!  Great Awakening Tour and to read the awesome testimonies of those that have been healed and set free and delivered.

Rodney Howard Browne: BEING FULL OF JOY IN EVERY SITUATION

Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.Joy is a fruit of the Spirit. As you allow the Spirit of God to do a work in your heart and life, the natural result will be that the fruit of the Spirit is manifested through you. If you are full of God, you will be full of joy.1 Chronicles 15:16 (NKJ)
16 Then David spoke to the leaders of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers accompanied by instruments of music, stringed instruments, harps, and cymbals, by raising the voice with resounding joyWhen we praise God, we should do so with joy. Joy has a voice. If you are full of joy it will be evident to others around you. They will see joy on you countenance and they will hear joy in your voice and in your song of praise. 1 Chronicles 29:9-10 (NKJ)
9 Then the people rejoiced, for they had offered willingly, because with a loyal heart they had offered willingly to the LORD; and King David also rejoiced greatly. 10 Therefore David blessed the LORD before all the assembly; and David said: “Blessed are You, LORD God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. 1 Chronicles 29:16-17 (NKJ)
16 “O LORD our God, all this abundance that we have prepared to build You a house for Your holy name is from Your hand, and is all Your own. 17 “I know also, my God, that You test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things; and now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here to offer willingly to You.It is right and scriptural to give willing and joyful offerings to God. Isaiah 12:1-6 (NKJ)
1 And in that day you will say: “O LORD, I will praise You; though You were angry with me, your anger is turned away, and You comfort me. 2 Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; he also has become my salvation.'” 3 Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. 4 And in that day you will say: “Praise the LORD, call upon His name; declare His deeds among the peoples, make mention that His name is exalted. 5 Sing to the LORD, for He has done excellent things; this is known in all the earth. 6 Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!”Verse 3 says that with joy we draw forth water from the wells of salvation. In other words, you could say that joy is the bucket we use to draw forth the salvation that God has provided for us. The Hebrew word translated here as “salvation” means deliverance, aid, victory, prosperity, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), and welfare. God has already handed salvation to us on a platter. It is up to us to open our hearts to receive it. Joy is a key to receiving from God that which we need.True joy is not manipulated by our circumstances like happiness (which is dependent upon positive circumstances). Even in the midst of a storm, joy is there, strongly anchoring us to the Word of God. We are instructed by God to cast all of our cares upon Him. There is a rest and a joy for us as we allow Him to carry our burdens. When your faith is working for you, you rest in joy, knowing that God is bringing it to pass. Why worry when God is in control!Zephaniah 3:17 (KJV)
17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. The Lord rejoices over you. He loves you with an immense, incredible, everlasting love that cannot be stopped. He will never stop loving you. All you need is His love. In His love is every answer to every question you could ever have. He loves you so much that He sings joyfully over you. You can rejoice over the fact that He loves you and that He rejoices over you!

FORGIVE SO THAT YOU MAY BE FORGIVEN

Mark 11:25-26 (NKJ)

25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

26 “But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

All of God’s promises come with conditions (doing things God’s way) – not because God wants to make our life difficult – but because we have to learn God’s ways (which are different to ours) and the ways that God’s kingdom functions. We have been exposed, all our lives, to the world’s system, which is destructive and wreaks havoc in our lives as we function in the “way of the world.” God’s kingdom leads to life and blessing, but we must learn to function in this higher kingdom of God’s ways and then we will reap all the blessings that He has for us.

We have the blessing and privilege of praying and then receiving from our Father, God, but we must be walking in love or our prayers will not be heard. It is not possible to walk in love and unforgiveness at the same time. Unforgiveness disqualifies you from getting the answer to your prayer. You cannot blame God for unanswered prayer – He plays by the rules. God is all-powerful and can do anything, but He will not go against His Word. If you line up with His Word, you will reap the benefits.

Matthew 18:21-35 (NKJ)

21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

23 “Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.

24 “And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.

25 “But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made.

26 “The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’

27 “Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.

28 “But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’

29 “So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’

30 “And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt.

31 “So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done.

32 “Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me.

33 ‘Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’

34 “And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.

35 “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

God longs to forgive us and extend His mercy toward us, but He cannot do it if we do not forgive and extend mercy toward others. God’s mercies are new every morning – He is ready again to forgive us again every day. He asks us to be ready to forgive others every day. When we have been hurt, we want to hurt others and hold them permanently responsible for their actions by not forgiving them. We think we are affecting them, but we are only affecting our own fellowship with God in a negative way. We are not holding them in bondage – we are holding ourselves in bondage.

If we forgive others, we release them and ourselves and God is able to forgive and bless us. Thank God, He does not treat us the way we sometimes treat each other. Thank God He is so merciful to us and so patient with us. If we treat others the way we would like to be treated then we will have no problems with an unforgiving heart.

PRIDE CANNOT RECOGNIZE GOD’S GRACE

Romans 9:30-33 (NIV)30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;31 but

Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. 32 Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the “stumbling stone.”33 As it is written: “See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” Rodney Howard Browne shows us that God, in His mercy, sent Jesus to shed His blood on the cross at Calvary, for our salvation, justification and righteousness – all of us – whether Jew or Gentile. Even though the gentiles were not looking for God – He extended His hand of mercy out to them and gave them the same opportunity to receive forgiveness by faith, as His people

The problem that Israel had was that they were more focused on their own works than God’s grace. Instead of being happy when Jesus came to lift the burden of religion that they carried – they were angered by the grace and forgiveness that He offered to the sinner. Their biggest problem was their pride. They did not acknowledge their sin before God because they felt justified in His presence by their adherence to the traditions of their ancestors. Good works are good when they are built on a foundation of God’s grace, but they will not purchase righteousness with God by themselves. Rodney Howard Browne shows us that the gospel is simple and salvation is free, but it’s very simplicity and straight-forwardness causes people to stumble. They expect something more difficult – something which takes more of an effort from them. They want to feel as if they have earned it. They want to retain bragging rights. You can keep your pride intact if your salvation comes by your hand and your works – you never need to acknowledge your sin and lost state. However, if you are dependent upon God’s mercy – you must humble your heart before God and acknowledge your sin and your inadequacy before Him in order to receive His forgiveness. The thing is – we are totally dependent on God. So our only recourse is to chuck our pride and humble ourselves. Proverbs 29:23 (NKJ)23 A man’s pride will bring him low, but the humble in spirit will retain honor. James 4:6 (NKJ) 6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Titus 3:3-7 (NIV)3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared,5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,7so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

It doesn’t matter who you are, it doesn’t matter where you’ve been, it doesn’t matter what you’ve done, Jesus has reached out His arms of love to you and offered you His mercy. If you have not been washed in the blood of Jesus – today is the day – recognize the fact that you need Him to save and redeem you. Even if you are a believer – you need God’s help every day. You make mistakes and you need His grace. Humble your heart – acknowledge your need – and receive His life and forgiveness.

Rodney Howard Browne: LIVING WATER

Rodney Howard Browne is pastor of The River at Tampa Bay.

John 4:10 (NKJ)
10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

Jesus is our source of living water. Living water is as essential for our spirits as spring water is for our bodies. Water can be clean and pure and life giving, or it can be dirty, polluted, and contaminated. Dirty water does not taste very good, unless it is all you have ever known. It definitely does not promote health and well being! Ephesians 5:26 (NKJ) 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,

The Word of God is water to our spirits, washing us clean and sanctifying us. The water of the Word washes away the pollution of sin and the stench of the world that we had before we were born-again. Unless we are washed with the Word, we will continue to walk dirty and unchanged. We may even find our way back to the world, unless the Word is allowed to continually cleanse us. Once you are clean, you won’t want to go back to being dirty again. The clean feeling will be too good.

>Rodney Howard Browne shows us that deception and religious tradition muddies the pure river of living water. We must hunger and thirst for the truth of the unadulterated Word of God. If you allow false doctrine or ideas to come into your life, it will be like drinking polluted water. It will bring death to your life. Your doctrine should line up with the whole of the Word of God. Every scripture that you stand on must line up with and be supported by other scriptures. Even the devil uses scripture, quoting it out of context, in order to deceive. Just because someone uses big words, it does not mean that they actually know what they are talking about. The Word is your guide to the truth.

John 7:38-39 (NKJ)
38 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because
Jesus was not yet glorified. The Holy Spirit is also like water. This is the water that we drink to quench our spiritual thirst. We can drink all we want to. The more we drink of it, the more this living and life-giving water nourishes us. As it flows in us and through us, it brings life to others, too.

Revelation 21:6 (NKJ)
6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.”

Revelation 22:1 (NKJ)
1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

This is a never-ending fountain and river of water of life that we can partake of freely. It proceeds directly from God, Himself. If we are thirsty, we can drink. God’s presence is available to us if we will have an open heart, and a strong desire for Him, and everything He has for us. A river of life is there for the taking if we only thirst for Him.

Rodney Howard Browne: RECOGNIZING THE SPIRIT OF GOD

The Spirit of God

Foundation scripture: I John 4:1-3 (NIV)1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has e in the flesh is from God,
3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard.
There are billions of Christians all over the world and there are also those who call themselves Christians, but who do not really know Jesus as Lord and Savior, because they are not actually born-again. There is a difference between thinking you are a Christian and knowing it, because the Holy Spirit, together with your heart testifies to the fact!

Romans 8:16 (NIV)16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. You can live in a kennel, but that does not make you a dog. You would have to be born as a dog. Of course, some people actually think that a person can also be born as a dog in another life, but that is scripturally untrue and has nothing to do with what we are discussing here! Only God ultimately knows who is truly born-again and of the Spirit of God, and who is only going through the motions.

Many Christians are suspicious of another Christian who does not believe exactly what they believe, and they stand in judgement of their salvation. We do not have a right to decide a person’s salvation or lack thereof – only God does that. Aren’t you glad that a forgiving heavenly Father decided to save you and give you a chance, when no one else would? People are quick to proclaim someone “saved” or not, by their own standards, but we need to measure by God’s standards. The bible says that we are of the Spirit of God if we proclaim with our mouths that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. In other words, we must agree and proclaim that Jesus Christ is God in human form! The Bible also says that we can sincerely say, “Jesus is Lord”, only by and under the influence of the Holy Spirit. You cannot curse Jesus if you are under the influence of the Holy Spirit. People who can curse Jesus are definitely not children of God and are definitely not saved and definitely not born-again.

1 Corinthians 12:3(NIV) 3Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.People get so hung up on “testing” everybody and meanwhile they themselves, are not in such great shape. Some people, who are totally paranoid about being deceived by false prophets, are actually already deceived. They live in fear and dread and have no peace. The bible says that if God and His love live in you, you are not tormented – you have peace and confidence.

I John 4:15-18(KJV) 15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.16And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

If the Spirit of God lives in you, you are not easy to deceive, because you know the voice of your good Shepherd and you do not follow the voice of the stranger. Jesus speaks to your heart – not your head. Let your heart be the guide, let the anointing be your guide – and you will stay on the right track. Learn to hear and know the voice of your good shepherd and you won’t be led astray.

John 10:4-5 (NIV) 4When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”

Rodney Howard Browne: GOD’S WORD IS TRUE AND SURE

The Word

Foundation scripture: I Kings 8:56  (KJV)

56 Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people

Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

God’s Word is true and sure. He never fails to do what He promised. You can trust His Word absolutely. We all make promises, but none of us have ever kept 100 percent of the promises that we have made in our lives. How wonderful that God has kept every promise that He has ever made. Men have failed God, but God has never failed men. God is full of righteousness and justice – He never lies and His Word never lies. Psalm 33:4-9  (KJV)4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. God created the world by and with His words. He spoke and it happened exactly as He spoke it. If He created the whole universe with His words, then surely anything else He says and anything He promises will also come to pass. His Word is true, righteous and just. If we really believed that – then we would conduct our lives very differently from the way we do now. We would not lack, we would not fail, if we were founded and established on the truth of God’s Word. Psalm 107:19-21  (KJV)19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.21 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!God gave us His Word to heal us and deliver us from sin and destruction. God’s Word is the source of our deliverance. God’s Word is the blueprint for our lives. He made us. He knows what we need and He knows how we tick and He knows what is good for us. Our lives should be ordered according to His Word. However, we will not order our lives in the way God desires until we know His Word and until we believe it to be absolutely true and sure. We must know that we can trust His Word in our lives. God’s Word will never fail us; it will never let us down. We can praise God for His Word, because it is true whether we see it or not. As we praise Him and as we believe His Word then we will see it come to pass in our lives.Psalm 138:2  (KJV)2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.God’s Word is full of integrity. He holds His own word in high regard. There is a saying, “You are only as good as your word.” This means that your worth depends on your integrity. God is as good as His Word. Numbers 23:19  (KJV)19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? There are some things that God cannot do. One of them is that He cannot lie. If He speaks it, He will do it. If He promises it, He will make sure that it comes to pass. When you understand that God’s Word is absolutely true, then you can begin to receive it exactly as it is written and you can receive it as true for you.

Rodney Howard Browne: A SEASON OF THANKS-GIVING

Thanks Giving

One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to dine with him, and He went into the Pharisee’s house and reclined at table. And behold, a woman of the town who was an especially wicked sinner, when she learned that He was reclining at table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment (perfume). And standing behind Him at His feet weeping, she began to wet His feet with [her] tears; and she wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed His feet [affectionately] and anointed them with the ointment (perfume). Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw it, he said to himself, If this Man were a prophet, He would surely know who and what sort of woman this is who is touching Him–for she is a notorious sinner (a social outcast, devoted to sin). And Jesus, replying, said to him, Simon, I have something to say to you. And he answered, Teacher, say it. A certain lender of money [at interest] had two debtors: one owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. When they had no means of paying, he freely forgave them both. Now which of them will love him more? Simon answered, The one, I take it, for whom he forgave and cancelled more. And Jesus said to him, You have decided correctly. Then turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, Do you see this woman? When I came into your house, you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You gave Me no kiss, but she from the moment I came in has not ceased [intermittently] to kiss My feet tenderly and caressingly. You did not anoint My head with [cheap, ordinary] oil, but she has anointed My feet with [costly, rare] perfume. Therefore I tell you, her sins, many [as they are], are forgiven her–because she has loved much. But he who is forgiven little loves little. And He said to her, Your sins are forgiven! Then those who were at table with Him began to say among themselves, Who is this Who even forgives sins? But Jesus said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go (enter) into peace [in freedom from all the distresses that are experienced as the result of sin].   Luke 7:36-50 AMP

A person’s giving is directly tied in to their appreciation and their thankfulness. Jesus uses the word “love”—those who are forgiven much, love much. This woman recognized Jesus as a Man sent from God. She was humble enough to realize how much she owed Jesus. She must have known of His reputation as One who forgives sin. She must have come to Him, with her offering, to throw herself on His mercy. She thought nothing of bringing the best that she had and pouring ALL of it out on Jesus. Her offering represented all of her heart, her love, her hopes, her dreams, and her absolute trust. When we give ALL of ourselves to Jesus—He gives ALL of Himself to us!

In contrast, Simon did not see Jesus like this woman saw Jesus. He did not think Jesus worthy of such honor. He did not realize how much he too needed Jesus’ forgiveness—for ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23). Simon did not wash Jesus’ feet when He arrived at his house, as was customary—he did not even use any cheap, ordinary oil on Jesus. He offered Jesus nothing, and yet, when this woman came in to pour her precious perfume on Jesus, all Simon did was judge her in his heart because she was a known sinner.

Two men went up into the temple [enclosure] to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.  The Pharisee took his stand ostentatiously and began to pray thus before and with himself: God, I thank You that I am not like the rest of men–extortioners (robbers), swindlers [unrighteous in heart and life], adulterers–or even like this tax collector here. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I gain. But the tax collector, [merely] standing at a distance, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but kept striking his breast, saying, O God, be favorable (be gracious, be merciful) to me, the especially wicked sinner that I am!  I tell you, this man went down to his home justified (forgiven and made upright and in right standing with God), rather than the other man; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.
Luke 18:10-14 AMP

We must not be like Simon or like this Pharisee. If we want God’s blessing, His favor and His forgiveness on a daily basis, then on a daily basis we need to humble ourselves before Him, without judging others, and realize just how much WE owe Jesus. Thanksgiving is not the only season for being thankful—that may be the only time the world stops and thinks about what they have to be thankful for. However, if you are a Christian you have a reason to be especially thankful to God and to show your thankfulness and your gratefulness to Him every day that you live!

When we remember how much we owe Jesus, then we might remember to show Him our appreciation in our giving—not our cheap ordinary giving, but the BEST we have! You might say, “Well I might be able to do what that woman did for Jesus if He was here right now, but He isn’t here!” Jesus says to you that whatever you do for the least of His brethren, you have done it for Him! Let’s give to say “thank you” and let’s show our thanks by our giving!

Rodney Howard Browne: Revival/church service

The Nations

A friend loaned me the DVD, I watched the DVD as Dr. Rodney Howard Browne started to prophesy, and he was talking to me! You see I have had a burden to go to the nations, but some how it never happened. I went today and applied for my passport, and in a month I will be going on my first trip to Haiti with the lash brook family, they have been there 14 years. Praise Him! Here is a poem God gave me after prayer one morning, months before I saw the DVD, THE NATIONS ARE CRYING, there is a sound going throughout, even the earth is starting to speak. The nations of the world are saying, come to me I need to be reached. Please, don’t forget about me I’m one of God’s creations, I can learn, and then teach, by, George S. I have had that same deep groaning; now God is doing it! All glory to Jesus! Thank God for your obedience and gift.  George S.

After a 40 min. conversation with a man from India and him asking me countless guestions I was able to lead him to the Lord. I can tell it was the power of God which drew him to make the decision.  Wesley K
